Pre-Sales Consultant (Solution Specialist)- Global Operations - International SOC

The Pre-Sales Consultant is responsible for aiding the Sales department in selling the solutions delivered by the Orange Cyberdefense International SOC (Security Operations Center) located in Brussels, Atlanta and Kuala Lumpur.

Working as a Pre-Sales Consultant

The Pre-Sales Consultant has a technical background with very strong business and commercial affinities and the focus is on promoting and positioning Orange Cyberdefense solutions through telephone calls, conference calls, on-site visits to potential customers and existing customers. The Solution Specialist is a corner stone in developing and answering technical Solution designs and technical descriptions for RFI’s & RFP’s, drafting price/cost sheets with the aim to determine proposed project P&L  and assists in closing deals with the Account Manager. 

Key responsibilities to be successful in this role:

  • Gain an intimate knowledge of the capabilities of Orange Cyberdefense International SOC
  • Understand the wider Orange Cyberdefense service portfolio to be able to detect and qualify opportunities and stay abreast of changes and enhancements
  • Inform Account Managers of service offerings and changes
  • Attend and arrange customer meetings
  • Respond to tender, RFQ, RFP and RFI requirements and drive the contributions of the necessary internal and external (e.g. vendors) stakeholders
  • Ensure that proposed solution is the best possible match for the customer’s requirements
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure that proposed solution is optimized and can be operated within the requested SLA
  • Write proposals and scope of work and pricing
  • Assist Account Managers in closing deals
  • Facilitate the delivery of  proof of concepts services and solutions
  • Attend training sessions, both in-house, vendor specific and external
  • Provide constructive feedback to marketing and operational teams on observed market demand to help drive the service roadmap
  • Participate to handover to operations for won deals and provide post-sales support when needed

Result: Extend professional and sustainable relationships with clients, distribution and vendor with eye on maximum sales figures. 

Job Context/Environment

  • Office based but home working allowed
  • Core working hours, although some flexibility will be required
  • Travel to customers sites

 The key attributes we're looking for in your profile:  

Level of Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equal by experience
  • Security industry recognized certification:  CISSP, CISA/CISM, OSCP/OSCE, CEH, CREST certifications 

Professional experience

At least 4 years in a comparable function with demonstrable experience as a security engineer/consultant, preferably presales with:

  • Extensive experience of the security industry
  • Experience with Managed Security Services portfolios specifically Security Operations Centers as well as Cyber Security Operation Centers
  • Understanding of security technologies from at least 3 of the following vendors:  Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Pulse Secure, Cisco, Zscaler
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking and security fundamentals
  • Experience in writing proposals and scopes, responding to tenders/RFQ/RFP/RFI

Other skills such as:

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) a must, French a strong bonus
  • Customer facing experience with strong presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confidence, tenacity, creativity and flexibility in thinking
